About

Hi! I’m Ashe. I’m largely homebound and mostly bed bound.

I’ve had post-viral (post-mono) ME/CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) since 2004, when I was 22.

I’ve been diagnosed with POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) since April 2024, though I suspect I’ve had it since childhood. (Oh, that explains all the lightheadedness and fainting!)

On August 30, 2024, I was diagnosed with breast cancer — Stage 1, Grade 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC). It’s HR positive and HER2 negative with a proliferation rate (Ki-67) of 98% and an Oncotype of 51. If you’re unfamiliar with the lingo, that all means that my tumor was teeny but extremely aggressive and I’m at high risk of recurrence.

This blog mostly exists for my own documentation purposes. It’s also to help keep the people who care about me updated about my cancer journey.

Also, if you know that I’m a longtime designer and web developer, please know as well that this is a premade theme and not something I designed or built. 😆
