I’m so talented, I won a prize on my first mammogram! 😂
Those of you who read my post from last week about my decidedly unremarkable left breast may have wondered about the right one. That’s fair. They do generally come in pairs.
Unlike its sibling, the right one was, in fact, remarkable. The doc remarked that he saw something on the first scan, so I went in today for another scan. Today’s mammogram setups were definitely intentionally squished harder, so I guess they were trying to get a good look.
After the mammogram, the doc determined they needed an ultrasound to get more info. So, I did that, too.
After the ultrasound, they brought me in to talk to the doc. He told me I have a small mass (about 1 cm) and he’s about 80% sure it’s a fibroadenoma, which would be benign. So, that would be great. Of course, it’s that 20% that’ll get ya, so he’s sending me for a biopsy.
And now you’re caught up!
TLDR: I have a small unidentified mass in my right breast. Gonna get it biopsied so we know what’s up. But for now, 😬.
